dc.description.abstract | This book shows how Armenia improved its water supply and sanitation (WSS) infrastructure and services. Government reforms in the early 2000s encouraged public-private partnerships in the sector, with WSS utilities using private operators to improve service quality and efficiency. International financial institutions and bilateral funding agencies financed investment. Private sector engagement has been governed through management and lease contracts. The result has been considerable improvement in the delivery of WSS services. | |
