Abstract
The seminar brought together senior representatives of securities and exchange agencies from the People's Republic of China, Taipei China, Indonesia, Korea, Kyrgyz Republic, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, Peru, Hungary and Romania. There were 30 participants from 18 countries. With the backdrop of the Asian financial crisis, the seminar addressed various issues on Security and Exchange markets regulations. Participants were able to discuss the draft reform report on international harmonization titled Principles of Securities Regulation with representatives of various regulatory agencies and representatives from the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO.)
