Abstract
Updated yearly, this ADB Fact Sheet provides social and economic indicators on Georgia as well as concise information on ADB's operations in the country and contact information. The Georgian economy posted 12% real gross domestic product (GDP) growth in 2007 after an estimated 9.4% rise in 2006, underpinned by reforms in the business regulatory environment and the Government’s strengthened fiscal management since the Rose Revolution in 2003. The country’s global ranking on the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business Index has climbed to 18.
