Abstract
Updated yearly, this ADB Fact Sheet provides social and economic indicators on the United Kingdom as well as concise information on ADB's operations in the country and contact information. The United Kingdom is the 14th largest shareholder and has contributed $1.12 billion in capital subscription as of 31 December 2008. As of 31 December 2009, it has contributed $895.3 million to special funds since joining in 1966. Companies and consultants from the United Kingdom have been awarded $1.71 billion in procurement contracts (based on nationality of contractor) on ADB-financed projects since 1967.
