The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has been working with the Government of Papua New Guinea (PNG) since 1971, and is now PNG’s second-largest development partner. As of 31 December 2014, the active funding portfolio totaled $1.01 billion, comprising 25 loans, 9 grants (including 1 grant from the Asian Development Fund), 8 technical assistance projects, and 2 loan and equity operations in the private sector.
