Technical Note: Social Analysis for Transport Projects

Asian Development Bank | June 2008
    Abstract
The technical note is divided into three parts. Part 1 describes the rationale for conducting social analysis in transport sector projects in the context of new sector planning directions and making the analysis consistent with ADB’s social development policies and strategies. Part 2 presents the key social issues that need to be tackled in transport projects. Part 3 demonstrates the step-by-step approach in doing social analysis aligned with the project cycle for transport projects.
