Abstract
Australia contributes to the Asian Development Fund which is used by the Asian Development Bank for concessional lending to its borrowing members. The government also contributes to the Technical
Assistance Special Fund, which provides grants to borrowing members to help prepare projects and undertake technical or policy studies; the Asian Tsunami Fund, which provides emergency grant financing to developing member countries affected by the 2004 tsunami; the Pakistan Earthquake Fund; and the Asian Development Bank Institute.
