Education Governance – National Partnerships for Education Study
Education Sector Analytical and Capacity Development Partnership | July 2014
Abstract
This report analyzes options for a strengthened partnership in education governance in Indonesia.
It also analyzes perceived structural inconsistencies in teacher employment and unemployment using the results of the legal and regulatory analysis activity and the “as is” mapping.
The analysis demonstrates three important points which includes discussion of oversupply of teachers, staffing rules, and civil service reforms enacted since 2011, which if enforced, will address the general issue of civil service teacher planning and recruitment.
