Asian Development Bank and Samoa: Fact Sheet

Abstract
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has been working with Samoa since 1966. As of 31 December 2014, ADB had approved $186.19 million in loans, $60.72 million in Asian Development Fund grants, and $30.43 million in technical assistance. Budget support from ADB, the World Bank, Australia, New Zealand, and the European Union, underpins the Strategy for the Development of Samoa (2012–2016). This support has helped to improve the lives of Samoa’s poor, make progress on public financial management reforms, and implement systems to better respond to natural disasters.
