dc.description.abstract | The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is dedicated to reducing poverty in Asia and the Pacific through inclusive economic growth, environmentally sustainable growth, and regional integration. Established in 1966, it is owned by 67 members—48 from the region—who have committed $203.41 billion in loans to the vision of a region free of poverty. Despite the region’s many successes, it remains home to approximately two-thirds of the world’s poor: 1.6 billion people who live on less than $2 a day, with 733 million struggling on less than $1.25 a day. This fact sheet describes how Federated States of Micronesia has contributed to aid Asian Development Bank in eradicating poverty and improving quality of life. | |
