dc.description.abstract | Established on 29 November 2006, the Water Financing Partnership Facility (WFPF) aims to provide additional financial and knowledge resources from development partners to support the implementation of Asian Development Bank's (ADB) Water Financing Program and help achieve the following targeted outcomes: (i) 500 million people with sustainable access to safe drinking water and improved sanitation; (ii) 170 million people with reduced risks to floods; and (iii) 95 million people with more productive and efficient irrigation and drainage services. The Facility now comprises three trust funds: (i) the Multidonor Trust Fund with contributions from Australia, Austria, Norway, Spain, and Switzerland, (ii) the Netherlands Trust Fund, and (iii) the Sanitation Financing Partnership Trust Fund with contribution from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. | |
