Poor communities turn plastic waste into saleable products

Asia and the Pacific are awash in plastic garbage. From July 2020 Japanese stores began charging for plastic carry-bags. Still nearly one third of plastic trash escapes waste collection systems. To beat plastic pollution, microentrepreneurs are transforming trash into cash using these real-life examples.
