Samoa: Transmission and Distribution Upgrade
Asian Development Bank | December 2016
Abstract
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has supported the Government of Samoa and the Samoa Electric Power Corporation (EPC) to upgrade the transmission and distribution system in Samoa. This has included construction of 16 transmission and distribution subprojects to improve reliability of the network, reduce system losses, and expand the grid. The total cost of the subprojects is $14.2 million. The works have resulted in 2,000 kilometers (km) of new or upgraded transmission and distribution lines as well as four substations.
