Abstract
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has been Papua New Guinea’s stable and trusted development partner since 1971. Over the 45 years of engagement, ADB has devoted substantial fi nancial resources and technical expertise to improving the welfare of Papua New Guineans. The partnership has rehabilitated transport infrastructure and improved aviation safety, expanded microfi nance outreach and removed other barriers to jobs and business creation, and provided basic health services to remote rural populations.
