Abstract
ADBI’s long-range vision is to continue being the leading knowledge center for economic development in Asia and the Pacific. In the medium term, its goal is to become a globally recognized think tank that similar institutions will emulate and learn from. ADBI’s activities in research and capacity building and training (CBT) respond to timely policy issues that are relevant to the needs of developing member countries (DMCs), in line with ADB’s MTR. In January 2017, ADBI was ranked the second-best government-affiliated think tank and the best regional-studies center in the world by the 2016 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report, published by the University of Pennsylvania.
