Annual Report 2016
Khilji, Saleem | June 2016
Abstract
Sustainable development flips different in different countries according to their needs, capacities, and constraints. Pakistan is a developing country with limited development in every period due to the range of issues it is faced with since its inception. Security, injustice, law and order, human rights violations, population explosion, inflation, poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, health issues, water & power crises, and environmental degradation are some of the serious threats which the country needs to overcome without much procrastination. As Pakistan crosses into 2017, the ground realities too move along calling for better solutions and combined efforts not only for the country’s survival but also for its growth and prosperity. The broad dimensions of sustainable development need to be clearly understood for concrete and positive outcomes.
