A Practical Guide to Monitoring Violence Against Women in Television

    Aid, Australian | November 2017
    Abstract
This manual is intended to provide concise, clear and efficient methods for organisations to monitor the type and amount of intimate partner violence and violence against women and girls shown on television. It particularly focuses on why monitoring is necessary, how to form a team of monitors and train them, the technology needed to monitor television programs and process the data, and how to report the data so it can be used to influence change. Drawing on the experiences of Cambodia, the manual is a step-by-step guide that can be adapted to other low-resource countries.
