Examining energy use and weather variability through the gender lens
Bayudan-Dacuycuy, Connie | April 2017
Abstract
While substantial studies on energy use have been done in developing countries, few researches analyzed energy use in the Philippines and even fewer within the context of weather variability and gender. This Policy Note analyzes the change in households' energy use with different sex composition in response to weather changes. It also provides insights on the effects of income, prices, and other socioeconomic factors on energy use.
