Second Tokyo Seminar on Securities Market Regulations

Abstract

The Second Tokyo Seminar on Securities Market Regulations was held at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Institute in Tokyo between 5-12 April 1999. The Seminar was jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Finance, Japan, the ADB Institute and the OECD. It was attended by senior officials from securities market regulatory bodies from throughout Asia. In the seminar, experts from the OECD countries, the IOSCO Technical Committee, and international organisations including the World Bank made presentations on basic principles and current issues in securities market regulation. There were also lively discussions between presenters and participants.
