Legislating Gender Equality: Support for Law and Policy Reforms

Abstract
This brief presents ADB experiences in supporting gender equality laws and policy reforms through its policy-based lending, project loans, and technical assistance grant projects. This brief presents ADB experiences in supporting gender equality laws and policy reforms through its policy-based lending, project loans, and technical assistance grant projects. Examples are presented from Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, and the Philippines. The document also highlights key advances in gender equality laws across the region while drawing attention to the remaining challenges and loopholes to achieving gender justice.
