This ADB Fact Sheet provides information on Hong Kong, China's contributions to ADB in terms of capital subscription and funding, delegates of Hong Kong, China to ADB, and the involvement of Hong Kong, China companies and consultants in ADB projects. Hong Kong, China is the 25th largest shareholder. It has contributed $298.26 million in capital subscription and $55.96 million to special funds since joining in 1969. Companies and consultants from Hong Kong, China have been awarded $847.3 million in procurement contracts (based on nationality of contractor) on ADB-financed projects since 1970.
