Updated yearly, this ADB Fact Sheet provides social and economic indicators on Uzbekistan as well as concise information on ADB's operations in the country and contact information. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has been the development partner of the Government of Uzbekistan since 1995. ADB has also been closely coordinating its activities with multilateral and bilateral development partners, including the United Nations Development Programme, the World Bank, and the governments of Germany, Japan, and Switzerland, among others. ADB, together with the UNDP and the World Bank, helped the government prepare and implement the Welfare Improvement Strategy, 2008–2010. In 2008–2009, ADB, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank cooperated with the government to improve the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism regime in the country.
