Updated yearly, this ADB Fact Sheet provides social and economic indicators on the Cook Islands as well as concise information on ADB's operations in the country and contact information. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has been working with the Government of the Cook Islands since 1976. As of 31 December 2014, 19 loans for $76.90 million, 2 grants for $8.06 million, and 34 technical assistance projects for $12.12 million have been provided. ADB’s strategies and operations are aligned to the Cook Islands National Sustainable Development Plan, 2011–2015, with a focus on infrastructure development, renewable energy and energy efficiency, information and communication technology (ICT), public sector management, private sector participation, and capacity development.
