Abstract
This paper discusses aspects of scaling-up poverty reduction in Asia and the Pacific and the role of ADB. Chapter II reviews the experience of this region in poverty reduction and draws lessons for scaling-up poverty reduction efforts. Chapter III discusses how ADB is changing its strategy and approach to contribute more effectively to scaling-up poverty reduction activities in the region. This is followed by a discussion of ADB’s experience with scaling-up poverty reduction at the project, sector, and regional level in Chapter IV. A set of conclusions is presented in Chapter V.
