Shared Lessons on Post-Disaster Recovery
Asian Development Bank | November 2015
Abstract
After a large-scale disaster, the overlap between the humanitarian response on the one hand and early recovery and reconstruction on the other, often described in postdisaster recovery literature as “phases of postdisaster response,” may need to be increased to fast-track the initiation of economic recovery, thereby reducing the overall fiscal burden of the disaster.
