Asian Development Bank | April 2015
Abstract
The Kyrgyz Republic joined the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in 1994. The ADB country partnership strategy supports the objectives of the country’s National Sustainable Development Strategy for 2013–2017. By helping to reform legal and regulatory frameworks, ADB seeks to improve the country’s business environment, while ensuring that affordable finance is available to all. As of 31 December 2014, the Kyrgyz Republic has received 38 Asian Development Fund loans of $961.7 million and 32 grants worth $459.6 million, or over $1.4 billion. ADB has also provided 88 technical assistance projects amounting to $50.5 million.
