Asian Development Bank | January 2004
Abstract
This study presents 12 cases that give an overview of the types of poverty reduction projects by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).The case studies demonstrate ADB’s commitment to meet the Millennium Development Goals for water and sanitation. One interesting case study was done in the Philippines where it was found out that a local water committee in one rural area organizes an annual disco during the local fiesta to raise funds for hand pump facilities.
