Asian Development Bank and Tajikistan: Fact Sheet
Asian Development Bank | April 2015
Abstract
In 2014, Tajikistan’s economic growth eased back from 2013 levels, but remained robust. Despite these positive economic indicators, Tajikistan’s economy remains vulnerable to external shocks. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has been supporting the government since 1998. As of 31 December 2014, ADB has approved about $1.3 billion in concessional loans, grants, and technical assistance programs to the country. Cumulative disbursements to Tajikistan for lending and grants financed by
ordinary capital resources, the Asian Development Fund, and other special funds
amounted to $706.3 million.
