Results Matter - Ideas and Experience on Managing for Development Results July 2004

Asian Development Bank | July 2004
    Abstract
Managing For Results Core Principles are: 1. At all phases—from strategic planning through implementation to completion and beyond—focus the dialogue on results for partner countries, development agencies, and other stakeholders. 2. Align actual programming, monitoring, and evaluation activities with the agreed expected results. 3. Keep the results-reporting system simple, cost-effective, and user-friendly. 4. Manage for—not by—results. 5. Use results information for management learning, decision making, and reporting and accountability.
