Abstract
The Gender and Development Cooperation Fund (GAD Fund) was established in May 2003 as a multi-donor umbrella facility to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in the Asia and Pacific Region by assisting the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to implement its Policy on Gender and Development (GAD) and related Action Plan. The first Implementation Progress Report was submitted to donors in May 2005; the second was submitted in May 2006 to report progress made in 2005. This is the third Implementation Progress Report, covering the year 2006; data are from the most recent information available during the preparation of the report
