Abstract
Bangladesh has achieved gender parity and significant increases in secondary education enrollment in the past two decades. However, the quality of education and educational outcomes remain major issues. Dropout and low completion rates across the general secondary schools and madrassas (Islamic religious schools) remain high. Other problems include unsuitable curricula and examinations, poor textbooks, and ineffective teaching for the majority of students
