Legal Impediments to Rural Development
Shastri, Sandeep | June 2006
Abstract
Development were often high on the agenda of priority of those in power. In terms of policy outcomes, however, the results have been disappointing, both on account of the 'tyranny of structures' and the 'paralysis in operation'. This policy brief attempts to forge a conscious link between local government, rural development, and empowerment strategies.
