Abstract
The first study in this policy brief discusses the lack of an integrated national energy policy in India and how this affects electricity tariffs and performance in terms of financial viability of electricity enterprises in distribution. The second paper discusses measures for environmental management, including policy reforms and setting up of environmental requirements for the power sector.
