Tourism is hit hardest. The tourism sector (domestic and foreign tourism) is the most affected by COVID-19 restriction measures (Figure 1). It is also the sector that is likely to take longer to recover compared with other sectors. Domestic tourism is expected to recover relatively quickly, with public campaigns playing a role in restoring regional demand. The impact on international tourism may last much longer given that border restrictions are expected to last until 2022.
