Strengthening North Pacific Cooperation

Abstract
The 2014 Korea Dialogue Conference on Strengthening North Pacific Cooperation was organized jointly by the East-West Center and the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy. The conference was held at the East-West Center in Honolulu on July 24–25, 2014. The conference focuses on three main topics: The macroeconomic performance of the key North Pacific countries: China, Japan, Korea and the US; Trade arrangements: the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP); the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP); and the China–Japan–Korea Free Trade Agreement (CJK); Assessments of the North Korean economy.
The conference concluded with a roundtable discussion on strengthening North Pacific cooperation.
